Journal of Human Health Research

Submit Paper

JHHR welcomes original research, reviews, and case reports that advance our understanding of human health. Submissions undergo Single-blind (double-blind on request) peer review and, once accepted, are published open access.

Before You Submit

Careful preparation helps your manuscript move through the editorial process efficiently.

  • Scope alignment — confirm your study falls within JHHR's scope of human health research across clinical medicine, public health, allied health sciences, and related disciplines.
  • Author guidelines — review the Instructions for Authors for formatting requirements, word limits, and structural expectations.
  • Ethical compliance — ensure ethical approval is documented for human subjects research, with IRB/ethics committee approval numbers included in the manuscript.
  • Clinical trial registration — verify prospective registration for interventional studies (ClinicalTrials.gov, ISRCTN, or equivalent).
  • Reporting guidelines — confirm adherence to the relevant reporting standard (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE) for your study design.
  • Figure preparation — prepare high-resolution figures as separate files (minimum 300 DPI) in TIFF, EPS, or high-quality JPEG/PNG.
  • Author information — gather complete author names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers for all contributors.

Online Submission Process

JHHR uses the ManuscriptZone online submission system for all manuscript submissions — an external portal that guides you through each step and lets you track your manuscript status in real time.

  1. Create account

Register on ManuscriptZone if you are a new user; returning authors log in with existing credentials and complete their profile.

  2. Start new submission

Select "Journal of Human Health Research" and choose the appropriate article type (Original Research, Review, Case Report, etc.).

  3. Upload manuscript

Submit the main manuscript file, figures, tables, and supplementary materials; the system guides file-type requirements and naming.

  4. Enter metadata

Provide title, abstract, keywords, and complete author information; confirm author order and the corresponding author.

  5. Suggest reviewers

Optionally suggest qualified reviewers, or identify reviewers to exclude due to conflicts of interest.

  6. Review and submit

Verify all information, confirm author contributions and ethical-compliance statements, and submit for editorial consideration.

What to expect after submission

You will receive an automated acknowledgment email with your manuscript ID — use it for all correspondence with the editorial office. Initial editorial assessment typically takes 3–5 business days to confirm scope alignment and completeness. If your manuscript is sent for peer review, expect an initial decision within 2–4 weeks. Status can be monitored at any time through the ManuscriptZone portal.

Cover Letter

Each submission should include a cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, concisely communicating the significance and novelty of the work.

  • Brief description of the study's key findings and their importance to human health.
  • Explanation of why the work is suitable for JHHR's readership.
  • Statement that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Disclosure of any prior publication or submission of related work.
  • Confirmation that all authors have approved the submission and agree to its content.
  • Declaration of any potential conflicts of interest.
