Membership
Optional membership for researchers and organizations planning publication in antioxidant and redox science.
Journal of Antioxidant Activity membership provides term-based publishing arrangements for individuals, students, institutions and companies. Membership is not required to submit a manuscript, read the journal or participate in independent peer review.

Membership and publication are separate decisions
Membership is a financial and administrative arrangement. It can provide agreed article-processing-charge allowances during an active term, with the eligible authors and applicable coverage confirmed before enrollment.
It does not expand the journal's scientific remit. Chemical, computational, biological, nutritional, pharmacological, clinical and population research must address a substantive antioxidant or redox question. Read the Aims and Scope to assess manuscript fit.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Membership confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of a member's own manuscripts. Fees, membership status, institutional relationships and services do not influence editorial decisions.
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Membership fees and terms
These are membership fees for the stated term, not per-article charges. Authors submitting without membership use the journal's Article Processing Charges schedule.

Article allowances are subject to the membership agreement and apply only to eligible work accepted through the normal editorial process. An allowance is not a promise that any manuscript will be accepted or published.
Before enrolling, request written confirmation of the term dates, eligible authors, article types, allowance and treatment of any charges beyond that allowance. The membership office confirms eligibility and pricing before enrollment begins.
Who each arrangement serves
Individuals and students
Individual membership is for researchers publishing as an author or co-author. Student membership is for graduate and postgraduate researchers and requires a faculty advisor's recommendation confirming student or trainee status.
Student submissions are not capped during the active membership term. Submission eligibility does not determine article acceptance or the APC allowance; the publication arrangement is confirmed before enrollment.
Institutions and companies
Institutional membership provides a shared arrangement for eligible institutional authors, with centralized documentation for finance and grants offices. Corporate membership covers eligible staff-authored work.
Institutional or corporate participation does not confer editorial control. A special-issue proposal follows the same proposal and editorial-governance requirements as any other proposal.
Active term and renewal
- Membership allowances must be used within the active term and do not carry over.
- The early-renewal discount is 10% when renewal occurs before the current term ends.
- Membership certificates and administrative documentation record participation; they are not editorial appointments or endorsements of research findings.
- Manuscript preparation, ethics, data reporting and review requirements remain the same for members and nonmembers.
