Editorial and review administration
Submission checks, manuscript tracking, reviewer correspondence and editorial workflow administration.
Publishing charges
Submission and peer review do not require payment. The applicable article processing charge is requested only after a manuscript has been formally accepted.
The charge applies to accepted manuscripts and supports the journal's open-access publication workflow.
| Category | Charge | When requested | Editorial treatment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard article processing charge | USD 2,100 | After formal acceptance | Independent of the editorial decision |
| Student rate | USD 900 | After formal acceptance and confirmation of the applicable rate | The same editorial and peer-review standards apply |
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. Payment status and fee discussions do not influence peer review or acceptance.
The APC supports publication services provided after and around editorial assessment; it does not purchase a favorable editorial outcome.
Submission checks, manuscript tracking, reviewer correspondence and editorial workflow administration.
Copyediting, typesetting, quality checks and preparation of the publication formats.
DOI registration where applicable and distribution of article metadata through publisher systems and OAI-PMH.
Online publication and hosting of the final article formats for readers without a subscription charge.
Peer review: Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
The editorial office can clarify invoices, institutional payment and the student rate before an author commits to a submission route.
An invoice is issued after formal acceptance. Payment may be arranged by the author, institution or funder using the options stated on the invoice.
Any applicable tax, purchase-order or institutional invoicing requirement should be raised with the billing team before payment.
Authors who need to discuss the student rate or other approved fee-relief terms should contact the editorial office before submitting. No fee arrangement confers an advantage in review or acceptance.
Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere.
Manuscripts withdrawn within 3 days of submission are not subject to a withdrawal charge.
Manuscripts withdrawn more than 3 days after submission incur a withdrawal charge equal to 30% of the journal's APC.
Authors must receive official withdrawal confirmation before submitting the manuscript to another journal.
Confirm manuscript fit and preparation requirements before choosing one approved submission route.
